 Game/Project Overview:  Serendipity is a fantasy game where the main playable character is a 21 year old eastern Cherokee woman named Jay Atohi. Jay Atohi was just a typical Georgia Tech student who liked the idea of escaping from her busy life. Once she finds her way into a fantastical world much unlike her own, she finds herself in the role of the hero, just like the video games she enjoys! Can this coincidental hero fulfill her role? Or did fate make a critical mistake?

I created Jay because one of my primary goals as a game designer is to have more indigenous representation, while also showing that she is just like any other "nerdy" college student. Seeing a character like Jay in this setting was important to me because indigenous people can exist outside of a "historical" setting, seeing as we are not relics of the past.
